TRADEDOUBLER: ERROR IN SITE VERIFICATION – I CAN NOT VERIFY SITE WITH TRADEDOUBLER

The Tradedoubler verification process starts when you register an account and a website.

By regulation:

 – CHECK NOW YOUR WEB SITE –

The web site registration process requires that you check the registered domains to verify that you are the real owner. This process is called “Website Verification”. You can not apply for an affiliate program until your site is verified. WARNING: wait 10/15 minutes to allow systems to check the correct installation of validation codes.
ONLY if you have a database of email addresses instead of a web site you can contact us for an ad hoc verification using the following … (?)

Instructions:

Option 1:
Copy the META TAG below and paste it under the <HEAD> tag in the homepage code of your website. Click on this link to access our guide with the steps to verify your site, with blogging platforms such as WordPress or Blogger. <! – TradeDoubler site verification xxxxxx ->
Option 2:
Create a blank file and call it: xxxxxx.html . Then save the file in the root directory of your web server: http://xxxxxx.net/xxxxxxx.html >. In order to do this you will need to have FTP access to the server on which you are running your site.

I hope, with this post, to help anyone who can not verify the site with Tradedoubler with 2 simple suggestions. Let’s see:

  • If you use plugins like “SEO” or “Head Inserter” or others, to enter the  code  as written by Tradedoubler IT DOES NOT WORK …
    Tradedoubler’s code starts with a REMARK code so if you enter it as  is written, simply plugin  ignores it!
    I propose you, therefore, this simple change:
    <script>
    <! – TradeDoubler site verification xxxxxx ->
    </ script>
    If you insert it in this way you will see that it will actually appear on the pages!
  • If you really can not solve the problem of site verification with tradedoubler , then note that in the above rule I highlighted a few characters in red  at the end of a paragraph … so, if you are careful, the original page between those characters is hidden ( ?!) A link to ask a question … whether it is wished or just an HTML writing error I would not know, but try and let me know. Here below the form page to ask a question to Tradedoubler’s staff

Warning: If your site responds to HTTPS, you must specify the protocol in the Site address field

  1. I find it infuriating that I had to use this external solution for something that had to work without it, their website doesn’t work!

Any suggestions ?
